Career Profile
With a solid background in Gerontology, Social Service Work, and Healthcare, I bring a wealth of experience and compassion to my role as a Personal Support Worker. Graduating from the Gerontology (Diploma) program in April 2018, my commitment to enhancing the lives of those under my care is unwavering.
In my current position at a Nursing Home since January 2023, I excel in assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their mental well-being through organized recreational activities. Collaborating closely with healthcare providers, I prioritize individualized care that meets each resident's unique needs.
Previously, as a Community Personal Support Worker, I provided dedicated assistance to physically disabled clients, fostering their independence and supporting their daily living skills development. My role extended to accompanying clients to appointments, outings, and engaging them in physical exercises essential to their overall well-being.
Additionally, my tenure as an Activity Director from May 2018 to January 2023 allowed me to identify psychosocial needs, tailor activity programs, and ensure all residents actively participated, promoting a sense of community and fulfillment.
My volunteer experience in a Nursing Home further honed my skills in maintaining residents' dignity and wellness, while my certifications in CPR and First-Aid underscore my commitment to providing safe and effective care.
With a focus on communication, empathy, and active listening, I am dedicated to offering holistic care to those in need, particularly individuals with dementia. My positive attitude and expertise guarantee top-notch care and support in all situations.
