ComforHome Ltd. (ComforHome) uses cookies and similar technologies on https://comforhome.ca/ to run the site, understand use, and support advertising of our directory. This policy explains what we use and how you can control it. It forms part of our Privacy Policy. Servers we operate are in Canada. Personal information is handled under PIPEDA and the Privacy Policy.
We do not show a cookie consent banner or a preference centre. You can accept, refuse, or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some cookies are required for login, security, and forms; blocking them may break those features.
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by a website. It typically contains a unique identifier and the site name. We also use similar technologies (for example pixels or local storage) for the same kinds of purposes described here.
We may store a short-lived draft of a listing contact form in your browser (for example session storage) so you can sign in and send it. That draft is not a cookie inventory item you configure in a banner; clearing site data in the browser removes it.
Strictly necessary
We do not use cookies for a shopping cart, checkout, or product store. Care fees are paid between users, not through a ComforHome cart.
Functionality
Analytics and performance
Advertising
We do not use cookies for affiliate-network commission tracking, embedded social plugins, or A/B-testing platforms. Footer links to Facebook, X, or LinkedIn do not set those networks’ cookies by themselves unless you follow the link and those sites set their own cookies.
Necessary cookies — required for the directory, accounts, and security. Transmitted using TLS.
Site-experience cookies — optional conveniences such as filters. Generally not used to identify you by name.
Performance cookies — analytics and similar measurement. Retention of analytics data is described in Section 6 and in the Privacy Policy.
Advertising cookies — used if we run ads or remarketing. Third parties may receive identifiers as described in their policies. We do not operate a on-site toggle; use browser controls and the opt-outs those vendors provide.
Use your browser’s help pages to block or delete cookies, or visit https://www.aboutcookies.org for general instructions. Restricting cookies can limit login, forms, maps, or other features.
Do Not Track (DNT). Some browsers send a DNT signal. This website does not currently respond to DNT. There is no widely adopted standard for how sites must honour it.
For a list of cookies actually present on your device, your browser’s developer or cookie settings are authoritative. You may also email info@comforhome.ca and ask our Privacy Officer for an inventory of cookies we intend to use.
Session cookies are usually deleted when you close the browser.
Persistent cookies remain for a period set by us or the third party — often from a few hours up to about two years — so the site or a vendor can recognise the browser on a later visit.
Typical ranges we aim to follow:
Parties that may set cookies or similar technologies on our site:
We do not use Cloudflare. We do not use a cookie preference centre.
Vendors change. Email info@comforhome.ca if you need a current name-level list.
Fonts or icon libraries loaded from third-party CDNs (for example Google Fonts or cdnjs) may cause those CDNs to receive your IP address; that is network access, not always a first-party cookie we set.
We may change this Cookies Policy when our tools or the law change. The date at the top is the last update. Material changes will be announced by email (where we have an address) or a prominent site notice, consistent with the Privacy Policy.
