I look after people the way I have always run a busy day: quietly, in order, and with nothing left to chance.

For more than seven years I worked in administration, procurement and coordination roles, where my whole job was keeping records accurate, schedules reliable and confidential files truly confidential. That work trained me to notice what is out of place before it becomes a problem. Nearly three years of it has been spent as a care aide in a retirement residence, supporting residents through the day, watching for changes in condition, and passing clear, honest updates to the professionals responsible for their health.

I hold a PSW certification, current CPR and First Aid training, and food safety certification, alongside a post-graduate diploma and a master’s degree. Families ask about qualifications, so I keep the answer simple: I am trained, I am certified, and I am comfortable making a household run smoothly around someone who needs support.

My calm is deliberate. Medication routines, meals, hygiene, mobility, household organisation and daily notes are handled the same way each day, so the person I care for always knows what comes next. I communicate openly with families and clinicians, and I treat privacy, dignity and personal information as non-negotiable.
