Meticulous, Unhurried: A Certified Caregiver Who Runs the Day
- Police Record Check, CPR / First aid Certificate
- Food & safety certificate, WHIMS

I came to this work through formal training as a personal support worker, together with post-graduate study in health care office administration, so I am as careful with documentation and care plans as I am with the person in front of me.
For two years I have supported clients in their own homes with the routines of daily living: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and continence care, meals and hydration, and safe lifts, transfers, repositioning and mobility. I assist with medication according to the established care plan, workplace policies and my scope of practice, and I follow infection prevention and control procedures, including hand hygiene and protective equipment.
My focus is dignity and independence. I watch for changes in physical, emotional, behavioural and functional condition and report them to the right people, keeping families and care teams informed. I have supported clients living with dementia, worked on fall prevention and hazard reduction, and hold basic life support, CPR and first aid certification.
I work independently in the home and coordinate with nurses, other health professionals and families. Reliable, punctual and adaptable, I am happy to learn the routines of each household and to keep the people I support safe, comfortable and themselves.
