Pediatric nurse and university educator offering family-centred, culturally responsive care

I am a nursing professional whose career has centred on **pediatric and child health**. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Pediatric Health Nursing, and I am completing doctoral studies in public health. Good care, I have found in a hospital pediatric unit, a community health centre and a university classroom, begins by listening to a child and the family beside them.

I taught degree-level nursing students child growth and development, pediatric assessment and **family-centred care**. I supervised students as they learned to recognise a child’s physical, developmental and emotional needs. Teaching how to communicate with children and caregivers was the work I valued most.

I have cared for pediatric patients, assessed their conditions and documented changes in their condition carefully. I received specialised **neonatal care training** and contributed to establishing neonatal intensive care services, and in a community health centre I supported children and families with health education.

My approach rests on **patient safety, infection prevention and respectful communication**. I work well within a team and know how to share information clearly and ask for guidance early. In a home I keep routines predictable, give children plain language and unhurried time, and give caregivers practical guidance they can follow.
