I’m a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker student with hands-on experience caring for individuals living with dementia. I bring a unique blend of empathy, patience, and practical skills to ensure each client receives the highest quality care while maintaining their dignity and independence.

My recent placement at L’Chaim Retirement Home allowed me to develop strong skills in assisting with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and safe mobility transfers. I understand the importance of creating a calm and supportive environment, especially for those experiencing cognitive changes. Utilizing techniques like redirection and validation, I strive to ease anxieties and promote positive interactions.

Beyond physical care, I believe in building genuine connections with my clients. Active listening, engaging conversation, and respectful companionship are essential parts of holistic care. My background as a self-employed garment maker has instilled in me strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to tailor my approach to individual needs.
