Nursing Internship Experience with Strong Patient Care Focus

In my nursing internship from October to December 2022, I had the opportunity to provide compassionate care and support to patients in a clinical setting. With a focus on assisting patients with activities of daily living, I gained hands-on experience in grooming, oral care, bathing, toileting, and peri-care. Additionally, I played an active role in meeting the nutritional needs of patients by providing assistance during meal times, preparing meals, and offering fluids and bedtime snacks.

I also developed skills in transferring and repositioning patients, ensuring their comfort and promoting mobility. Throughout my internship, I maintained a safe and healthy environment for patients, prioritizing their well-being. Furthermore, I engaged patients in various activities, such as memory games and card games, to promote cognitive stimulation and companionship.

In addition to my practical experience, I possess strong qualifications and expertise. I am adept at working in high-pressure situations and thrive in a team environment. My First Aid CPR certification demonstrates my commitment to emergency preparedness. I have keen observation skills and pay attention to detail, ensuring that I provide thorough and comprehensive care to patients.
