Nurturing Caregiver with a Heart for Compassionate Support

As a dedicated personal support worker, I have always been driven by a passion to make a positive impact in the lives of others. My journey began with a strong foundation in education, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi. However, it was during my training as a Personal Support Worker at Archbishop Meagher that I discovered my true calling – to provide compassionate and empathetic care to individuals in need.

With my Personal Support Worker Certificate and a wide range of certifications, including Standard First Aid and CPR, Gentle Persuasive Approaches, and Safe Food Handling, I am well-equipped to provide exceptional care to seniors and individuals with diverse needs. My experience in long-term care facilities, such as Winbourne Park LTC and Port Perry Place, has taught me the importance of creating a warm and welcoming environment that fosters social interaction and emotional well-being.

As a compassionate caregiver, I have honed my skills in reporting and documentation, personal care, time management, active listening, organization and prioritization, teamwork, and flexibility and adaptability. My ability to engage residents in social, recreational, and physical activities has not only improved their emotional well-being but also created lasting bonds between caregivers and residents.

In my current role as an Order Picker/Packer at H&M Warehouse, I have developed strong communication and problem-solving skills, which I believe will serve me well in my future endeavors as a direct hire caregiver. I am committed to providing high-quality, cost-effective care that prioritizes the unique needs and preferences of each individual.
